San Diego Short Sale Negotiator: Carlsbad Village Street Faire

Carlsbad Village Street Faire

Carlsbad Village Street Faire

Things to do:  November 4, 2012 starting at 8am

Doesn't it sound quaint.  A few merchants in the little village of Carlsbad take their wares outside.  NOT EVEN CLOSE, this this one of the biggest street fairs in California.

Carlsbad Street Faire

How big?  Past Carlsbad street fairs have welcomed over 100,000 visitors to visit about 900 vendors.  These merchants such things as:

Art - of all kinds from huge wall hangings, to yard art to photography and much more (I'll say that a lot).

Services - Insurance agents, real estate agents, chiropractors and others get in on the act.

Clothes, clothes and more clothes, from T-shirst to baby clothes to extravagant dresses for ladies and much more

Food Court, where else can you eat Thai food, to Hawaiian cuisine and lots of fried stuff.  Thirsty?  the Carlsbad Rotary will be hosting a beer & wine garden with a big screen TV and live bands.  The Carlsbad Kiwanis Club will host their annual pancake breakfast at 7am to noon at the Carlsbad Railroad Depot.

Favorite Activity:  When you go, keep track of how many people have silly little dogs in backpacks, frontpacks, purses and strollers.  In case you didn't know it, Carlsbad is VERY dog friendly.

New This Year

New this year "Picture Yourself at the Carlsbad Village Faire" contest sponsored by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.

How to get here:

From the I-5 take Carlsbad Village Drive (Locals still call it Elm!) west and start praying for a place to park!  The center of the fair is at Grand Avenue from Carlsbad Boulevard to Jefferson Street, and all of the cross streets in between, will be closed for the event. To make parking more convenient, complimentary shuttles will run to and from the faire. Shuttles will pick up and drop off passengers at the Poinsettia Coaster Station and the northwest corner of Sears at Westfield Plaza Camino Real.

So put on some comfortable shoes, lightweight clothes and a hat (we're expecting temperatures in the low 80's!) and don't forget some cash.  Come on, let's get this economy kick-started right here.
